Not powerful, but seems solid for small areas or quick jobs. Nice find!

This was a frontpage deal as a bare tool a few weeks ago for $49.99. That deal is still available: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../314241140

If you get the bare tool, you can buy a 2-pack of 1.5Ah batteries for only $60.

I dunno, last time I said a deal wasn't that hot, I got slammed for it. Unless you need the charger, I think the deal's lukewarm.

FYI standalone batteries aren't eligible for LSA.

In regards to this deal, you're likely better off *value* wise to get the 2x4ah +charger (which makes the batteries LSA eligible) for $99 and the $50 blower deal if you need both.

Good point about the stand alone batteries not being eligible for LSA, but they're getting cheaper and cheaper.

I have the prior blower and its good as a light duty blower but I use a 4ah battery and frankly I'd want to go bigger. Just a user beware thing if you're not familiar with battery blowers... I'm just skeptical 2ah is good if you're spending this much money for a convenient package. To me, recharging after every use might kill the savings of this kit.

Great duster but blows as a blower. Very similiar to the Makita DUB182 with a very specific use case.

Re: batteries and LSA

ridgid updated their LSA policies in March and standalone batteries are now covered, both the new compact and max output series, as well as previously released batteries still on the market.

Another day another Ridgid alert. Still waiting on a HD sale for the portable 18v 3 gallon wet / dry vac.

for the size, it's AWESOME. I use it for my small porch and garage, more than enough.
Update: tried it last night as an inflator for an air bed... 5 freaking seconds! to inflate a single bed. And you can graduate the speed with the trigger so you don't blow it up.

I also have the their other blower and tried this one. It seems to vibrate more, I guess because of the location of the battery. I returned it. The size and price were good, but thinking about getting a second one of the other model. Either one don't expect to blow caked on stuff, just dry items.
