The 8 Gigabyte RAM that is soldered to the motherboard is not up-gradable unless you want to try to de-solder the chip and solder a new one on which may not work. Good luck trying to use Windows 11 with 8 gig of ram, it will be super slow.

8GB is fine. Oh wait, are you expecting to run virtual machines on a $300 laptop? 🤣

I'm not sure it's worth the effort to solder additional RAM chips onto a consumer grade product.

I have one bought 2 months ago for a bit less at Best Buy - works well with 8GB ram - my biggest gripe is the battery life

I have a similar Lenovo Yoga that has 8GB RAM soldered, and tbh, it's fine. I use it when traveling, never had an issue with slowness.
My main laptop has 16 GB, and I barely notice a difference between the two.
That said, this kind of laptop would be perfect for a light user. Your parents, grandparents, etc.

Same, i got mine for around $220 last time this similar deal was on here. That's weird that you're experiencing battery life issues, the battery on mine has been fantastic.

FWIW, I've tried to order the Open-Box Excellent for shipping 4x this morning, and every one of them is instantly cancelled, saying the item is no longer available.
However, the Add to Cart option for shipping remains active. So just a heads up for anyone, you're likely going to need to get lucky with one of these at a store local to you if you want to snag one, because they aren't shipping em.

How does this piece of crap do "Dolby Vision" with 45% NTSC and 300 nits max brightness? Is "Dolby Vision" just something anyone can pay a fee to certify their product on regardless of how bad the actual hardware is?

I absolutely hate how the touchpad leans left instead of the center. Why companies follow this design is beyond me.

Yes you can return it in 15 days . ask for price match they do it also. Price match doesnt apply if you have bought open box product however you can always return it and buy same product with lower price

I tried to buy this on a previous deal but it sold out in my area. In trying to do so did some research and there were internet forums suggesting to turn off "performance graphics" windows settings or something along those lines. Realize that is not very helpful but simple search of "yoga 7 battery issues" should lead you to the same place I got to. Info was in one of the reviews on best buy as well.
