I assume that this is better than the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller [amazon.com] that's $10 cheaper. Does anyone know why? I just want a controller for PC use.

The 2C wireless doesn't work with Nintendo Switch apparently. Otherwise seems to be a great controller.

They're both really similar but keep in mind that this one is meant for the Switch, so the button layout will reflect that. You can still use it on your PC, but the Ultimate 2C is more PC friendly. The 2C also has a better polling rate than this one which will reduce latency, but you may not even notice that if you're just a casual player.

I have the original version of this. Is the upgrade with hall effect fairly significant?

Gyroscope feature isn't on the 2C. Back triggers are nicer than the 2C's extra bumpers buttons imo.
2C is still my go-to for PC though. I also prefer the 2.4Ghz dongle cuz Bluetooth sucks.

There is a 2c Bluetooth that's made for the switch and has gyroscope. I just don't know which to go for between that or this personally.

Which joystick configuration do you prefer? I have an SN30 pro+ (similar design to this) and a PC/android version of the 2c. Both work great, and feel good but much lighter/cheaper than my switch pro controller. I prefer this design for 2d games where I want the d-pad and the 2c for most 3d games. I personally prefer the 2c design in general.

That's what I'm not sure of. I don't play too much 2d games. But also I've always felt like the PlayStation controller was fine and that is what the pro 2 is similar to. But I do think overall the design of the 2c would be better but what I've been reading is the pro 2 is more of a premium controller.

I'm almost sure it does. Since the original Nintendo pro controller works with switch 2. And its Bluetooth which the switch 2 accepts

If you have a 2c and would like it to work on a switch, you can always buy this https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Wir...0DER&gQT=1 if you dont want to spend double the price on a new controller. Also allows almost all other controllers to work on the Switch.

The 2c Bluetooth is made for the switch. So if buying it for the switch you would get that. I don't know why the made it so confusing. They look the same

That is true, that was aimed at people like me who own "ultimate 2c wireless" or similar. You are 100% correct, their naming conventions are absolutely batshit insane.

I'll just add I can't feel a real difference in build quality between the 2 I discussed, I think the "premium" factor mostly comes down to whether you care about any of the special features.

I have one of these and cannot get my android/PC 2c to work on my switch with it. It's worked for xbox controllers, PS controllers, and gotten my switch pro controller to work on PC.
There's a separate 2c for the switch. It's weird!
