Would be nice if there was ANY context to this AT ALL...
10ah battery would be pretty crappy when running, edging, blowing, sawing, etc., etc. I could go on, but basically anything that doesn't just sit/roll on the ground would be miserable with this heavy of a battery.
Please elaborate. 😐

Ego is trying to offload the bad batch of 4 and 6 amp batteries instead of giving you a 10 amp battery with the mower which is far more convenient to use but I don't blame them they've got to get rid of those bad batteries

Does that make sense, wouldn't they have to replace those batteries under warranty?
Doesn't seem to make financial sense to do that.

Would this be a better choice?

I've also heard that the 10ah battery is awkward when used in many of the other EGO tools. I'm looking at ego since they seem to have some higher power blowers and while my M18 blower is fine for dust it doesn't do much to the sycamore leaves.

The reviews on the Acme Tools site were mostly good. I've been shopping around for an electric mower and was set on a Harbor Freight mower with 2 batteries and a rapid charger after using one at my campground. That was going to be close to $700+.

I pulled the trigger on this after reading the reviews. Thanks for the post!

Remember that the 10 ah battery has a 5 year warranty while the smaller batteries only have a 3 year warranty.

The LM2135SP is a higher model and a better mower (more torque and double blade) than this one and is on sale at Lowes .

It for some reason says sale ends March 25th but I was able to buy it online and picked it up in store no problem.

I wouldn't consider mowing with anything less than a 10. Or snowblowing. The 10 also has a 5 year warranty. 2.5 or a 5 work best for other tools. I would have thought a 5 would run about half as long in a mower as a 10 but no. Not even close. And my 5's are newer than the 10.

You really want a 10amp battery for mowing and 4 or 6 for any other tool for the weight. 6 amp may do small yards. I can mow and blow with the 10 on a decent size yard and side yards. About 12000 sq ft lot including house.

FWIW I've been using an ego electric mower since 2017 and have had zero issues with it, except buying another battery (off brand to save $)

I expanded with their line of tools and just keep rotating the 2.5 and 5 amp batteries I have.

A+. Would buy again
